This sits outside of Hoops Pub & Pizza in downtown Peoria. I don’t know what it exactly is, but it seems to be secured very solidly to the sidewalk.

    I think there is one of these on N University also. I’ll have to take a closer look tonite

    Ah, my first foray into citizen journalism… the intensive research at 500 block of Main…the rush from getting the scoop…
    According to Lori at Judge’s, a box would have been attached to this structure. One could notate and deposit an envelope containing a parking self-payment.

    Now it occasionally provides the stabilization effect of a N’awlins lamppost.
