269 – The Bradley Homestead

Peoria Landmark #269

Text from the Cache of an article about Lydia Moss Bradley (the actual web page wouldn’t load):

In 1858, Tobias Bradley, already a successful businessman with interests in banking, railroads, steamboats, distilleries and real estate, built an imposing brick residence which stands today at 802 W. Moss. Mrs. Bradley continued to live at this house until her death on January 16, 1908.

Is it the Pettingill Morron or Flanagan house?

  2. laura Says:

Flanagan House. There are some amazing river views from the back.

No, this is the house you see on Moss…. it has a historical marker out front. Was it Lydia Moss Bradley’s home?

And, isn’t there one on Glen Oak that was built by the same architect? I could be wrong, but it seems to me they are extremely similar in nature.
