252 – Statue of St. Mark
St. Mark’s Catholic Church & School are located at the corners of Bradley Ave & Underhill. Specifically, this statue is located at the corner of Bradley Ave & University and is often shrowded by trees and not always noticed at first glance.
I’ve already briefly wrote about the Church; no need to repeat myself.

Must have snapped this one while you were in Pennsylvania. It’s Joe Pa and an equally aged Nittany Lion.

Very clever. Wrong, but very clever. (PS- I had to Google to figure out what you were talking about)

After three weeks I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to give out a hint and say Mark is on the right track. I’ll bet there are many of you who have driven past this statue hundreds of times and never really noticed it, me included.

I was thinking it was in some cemetery but haven’t had time to go hunting.
Waiting patiently for the answer.

Josh is correct. For you historians, the statue was designed and built by Fr. Joseph Hyde, a native Peorian who has been a Benedictan priest for over fifty years, and is located at St. Bedes in Peru, Illinois.
