224 – Avertine Renewable Energy, Pekin
Industrial Disease.
I hate putting up things that I don’t know but I’m running low on photos because of global colding. As far as I know this is the Pekin power plant, but there are several places close by that look similar and I didn’t take notes.
My wife especially likes this one because she’s the one who took the pic.
Update: Confirmed: It’s Avertine Renewable Energy, Inc.

The train tag caught my eye before the plant. I get caught by the trains three or four times a week with not much to do but observe the graffiti. Looks like there’s a tagger by the handle of Nord out of Clifton, Ohio.

Gary,
I was out at the BNSF yard in Galesburg last fall and had the opportunity to see some amazing work. A few pieces covered the entire side of the car. I wish I would’ve had my camera. Although, being as we were there to see the yard superintendent, I think he would appreciate it none too much if I was photographing the artwork before they had to clean it off.
