144 – Lakeview Museum
Methinks Gary is right: “side entrance to Lakeview museum…”
Central Peoria asks “Isn’t that the “SUNâ€? of the world’s largest Solar System model? Last I heard they were trying to figure out what to do with Pluto which was out in Pekin I think.”
Personally, I preferred the the big sun when it was the main feature on the front of the building. I with they’d have kept it there instead of moving it to the side door that no-one sees.
I wonder how they’re going to re-align the solar system when they move downtown?

David is right – and beat me to the punch! Isn’t that the “SUN” of the world’s largest Solar System model? Last I heard they were trying to figure out what to do with Pluto which was out in Pekin I think.

Once again, I must decline credit for David’s guess. Seriously no identity theft conspiracy here.
Realign the solar system? Actually, I don’t remember anything in discussion about what’s happening to Lakeview Museum building. Hrmmm. Time to do some research, or somebody going to make it easy?

Gary, I’ll make it easy for you. The Children’s Museum is moving into the Glen Oak Pavilion building; when that happens, the Park District offices will move out and into a temporary home until Lakeview moves downtown, at which point the Park District HQ will move into the ‘old’ Lakeview building.
