111 – Talbott’s Christmas Tree Farm

Talbott’s Christmas Tree Farm, located on Christmas Tree Road, of course!  It’s actually just off of Route 29, 6 miles south of Pekin.

Continuing our family tradition, we headed out there last weekend- after my wife broke up a snowball fight, the kids picked out a nice looking tree and I played the role of Paul Bunyon.  A good time was had by all.

    Must be the Park Board and School Board selling off the trees in Glen Oak Park to make way for progress.

    I guess Talbot’s Tree Farm in Tazewell County … that’s the only tree farm I know. We used to go there every year, back in the old days, before my whole family became communists and succumbed to the lure of fake Christmas trees.
