Peo. cop for yrs. , and retired ...he was OK guy and his MOTHER worked all the time at her home at corner of Sanford & Chicago STs. .it always looked neat ...Jack bought her home up somewhat close too his .for she was very independent & able too care for hereelf ....VERY nice lady !he has a storage rental business and she always wanted to help out too stay active ...real good family ...can't recall his brother's name ,but both could play good game of b/ ball...as for you DEANIE ....you were ALWAYS a PEST in school ,cause THAT older SIS> of yours made unbearable for all the teachers you were gonna have ,AFTER she got thru w/ um! I certainly PERKED up and sure enough we were met at airport by friend who made 'arrangements'and driven to our Condo and so surprised when we seen our new hot tub that had been installed next to our whirl pool on large deck overlooking the BEAUTIFUL Gulf!it was getting dawn ,so after quick shower, we were in hot tub drinking tiquila sunrises as sun came up .it was then ,not knowing i would regret my thoughts i had at the time . the next three days i got to play golf on the two magnificent courses they provide when your a member of their PRESTIGIOUS Country Club ,which we are members , of course ...the second night at our Club ,much too my surprise , i was Awarded the Outstsnding Humanitarian Award for my Contributions To Mankind ! You talked about what Miss Ballard did, do you remember Mr. Weber. He was something else. In sixth grade, Gary Hale pestered me to death. I would go up and complain and Mr. Weber would get on to him and in about 5 minutes, it would all start over again. I guess he got tired of me coming up and complaining, so he asked me if I was left or right handed and I told him left. He said "O.K., in order for me to catch Gary in the act, every time he starts. lift you right hand and I will take it as a cue to watch him and I'll write down each time he does it and after school I will have a talk with him." All day long I kept raising my right hand and he would nod at me, but he never did do anything. Walking home I realized all he did was keep me from coming up to his desk every five minutes and the class was at peace for a while. He really seemed out of place there, like he should have been a high school or college football coach. But, I'm sure glad he was a Richland. He was a good teacher. Really down to earth. They were good with the child psychology weren't they. Do you remember Mr. Ingerson? He was a horrible man. He's the only bad memory I have of Richland. For some reason he hated me. Truly hated me. And I seriously did nothing to deserve it. I can remember asking to go to the bathroom once and him saying no. I sat back down and the urge to go got worse and worse. I asked again and told him how bad I had to go and he said absolutely not. I knew if I didn't hurry it would be all over but the crying, so I ran as fast as I could to the bathroom. He barged into the girls bathroom screaming and hollering and beating on the bathroom stall door. Mr. Wildenradt had to drag him out. When I got done and came out, he was standing in the hall with Mr. Wildenradt just seething. You could tell he absolutely hated me. I told Mr. Wildenradt what happened and he looked at me like he was sorry and said I had to apologize to him, so I did. But, he was horrible to me from then on. I never did figure out what I did to warrant such hostility. That man should never have been a teacher. He was the perfect example of the "One bad apple" saying. Sorry about unloading that, but I do feel better. So glad you girls are all on board now. I love this sight and Julie. Write more soon. Get a fire under your sister Kathy and get her to write me.
